Such a strange coincidence
Guess who did I run into this evening, after my Group fitness training Mississauga? My ex.!Yes, my ex-husband. It’s been three years since we managed without seeing each other's face. We ended up in some weird terms and we both agreed that we needed to be away from each other.
I literally bumped into him. As I was going out of the gym, I dropped my phone. I bent down in order to pick it up and went I did, I did not see that someone was walking in. I was still looking down in order to check is there was something else that I may have dropped. Thus I bumped into someone. I found myself within someone’s arms, on the narrow corridor leading to the main exit door. Luckily that someone had held me cause I had lost my balance and I would have ended up falling down.
Imagine my surprise when I saw that my savior for the moment was him, my former husband. For a few seconds I was under the impression that I am not seeing properly, that my eyes are playing a trick on me. I quickly removed myself from his arms and regained my position. I apologize for bumping bumping into him.
Before I would say or add anything else, he told me that he was thrilled to see me. That sentence puzzled me. I could not understand why he was so happy about seeing me again. Anyway, I kept quiet and I let him talk. He added that he had tried to contact me a few months ago, but since I had changed my number, he could not find me. He carried on with his explanation saying that he even hoped that he’d get a hold of me on FB or Twitter. He knew that
I had moved and there was no way for him to find me.
Seeing that he was not going to end this chit-chat any time soon, I told him that I was in a hurry. I could not help myself and I asked him why was he there? What was he doing at the gym? His reply came shortly: he was the new co-partner. I smiled and I thought that was a strange coincidence. From all the gyms in the city, he had to be co-owner of the one I was going? Weird!
He walked me to my car and kept on talking about seeing me around. Hmm! I think I will stop going to the gym for a while.
