Biking in the countryside
There are few thrills quite like getting onto a motorbike and just going for broke. It is an amazing experience, as long as you do it safely. The feeling of that engine throbbing between my legs is amazing. I’ve spent many a day tearing up the Alberta asphalt and, through the years, I’ve maintained a great group of friends who all appreciate bikes just as much as I do.
Now don’t get a girl wrong her. We are hardly a motorcycle gang. While the odd fantasy may lead me to believing that being in one might be fun, the reality is that all I want out of my time on the motorbike is enjoyment. I want myself and my friends to have a great time riding on the Alberta asphalt and I want us all to ride safely and just enjoy the experience.
With that in mind I’ve started organizing a few rides that we can do together as a group. We’ve all ridden together before of course, but I wanted something that would get us out of our comfort zones and, hopefully, to some amazing areas of natural beauty the likes of which we don’t usually see during the course of our usual journeys on the Alberta asphalt.
I can think of few better rides than the ones out in the countryside. The air is fresh, the surroundings stunningly scenic and, best of all, the roads are always amazing. City riding isn’t always the greatest experience so to get out on the open road and not have to deal with all of the traffic clogging up the Alberta asphalt is always a welcome experience. After all, what would you rather do, spend your day stuck behind cars that won’t let you pass or let loose with the throttle on an open road with interesting contours that make riding a bike truly fun?
I’ve floated the idea around the group and it seems to be rather popular. Social media is such a great tool for these sorts of things and it has made it so much easier to get in touch with the guys when I need to. We have tentatively set up a first ride together so I’m hoping that everybody can make it and we can all experience something a little bit different. The anticipation is building so I can only hope that it doesn’t end up being a let down.
